I frequently fly in and out of Hamburg and it is honestly my favorite airport in the world; clean, efficient and a location set for Tomorrow Never Dies. Often times I’ve had flights land late to do cross winds or have been subject to some tricky stomach turning landings because of them. The following video (captured on someone’s shitty mobile phone, though crappy compression and limited resolution) SCARES THE SHIT out of me. Yes, cross winds are common at Hamburg International; but who is this pilot??? The plane is going sideways you jackass! If they were running out of fuel fair enough; the bird’s coming down anyways. But who in their right mind would attempt a landing in that?
